5 Favorite Things

1. Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow UNDERGROUND
-this neutral brown/gold/taupe shade of eyeshadow makes the perfect "no-make up" make up for me. it gives you that beautiful glam look without feeling too made up. it's a bit glittery too so you can't completely say it's barely there. i really love it. it's got to be one of my favorite make up purchases ever. i first saw this on my sister. my mom and i instantly fell in love with it. my sister has it, my mom has it, and now, i have it!

2. Benefit SUNBEAM
-sunbeam is actually a highlighter that has gold undertone to it. i actually came to love this product by accident. i bought the Benefit Gettin' Cheeky gift pack and sunbeam came with it, along with benefit's best selling lip and cheek tints. i didn't have any idea at first how to use this. i had to watch a lot of tutorial on youtube to master the application. it turned out Sunbeam is the product that i needed all along. i've been wanting to get that shinny, luminous look for so long, the way celebrities' make up have. i thought creme blushes were responsible for that. obviously i was wrong.

3. MAC lipstick PEACHSTOCK
-after searching for the perfect nude lipstick, peachstock by far has been the most successful one. it has that peach-orange undertone. it doesn't make me look like a corpse, unlike the rest of my nude lipsticks that has pink undertones. Peachstock has a satin finish. a bit matte and silky, just the way i like it.

4. MAC lip conditioner
-lip conditioners moisturizes chapped lips. i love this product because it works for me. i used to put lip balms first before applying lipstick but it just doesn't cut it. my lips would dry up like the desert in about half an hour.

5. EOS lipbalm stick RASPBERRY
-i guess the question is, why stick? why not the commonly sphere ones? for a change. i guess you have to blame my nonconformist self about that. haha. eos lipbalms are 100% natural and 95% organic. makes you wonder about what the other 5% is, but hey, nobody's complaining. and i'm not the one to start.

hope you enjoy reading my five favorites. thanks for dropping by!

When A Man Loves

so i just finally finished watching When A Man Loves, also known as When A Man Falls In Love, and has just premiered in the Philippines two days ago.

it is a story about a girl, Mi Do, whose family owes a lot of money and are in trouble from loan sharks. she then meets the thug, Tae Sang, who was sent by the loan shark to get money from the father of Mi Do. Tae Sang became sympathetic with the family and decided to cut them some slack, give them more time and deduct the interest. Mi Do promised Tae Sang she will pay the debt in full at the given deadline.

when the time came, Mi Do showed up at Tae Sang's door and offered herself as payment for her family's debt. Tae Sang rejects the proposal and encourages Mi Do to never lose hope. Tae Sang saves Mi Do from a life threatening situation.

after seven years of not seeing each other, Tae Sang became an accomplished man, building his own company while Mi Do is still miserable and poor.

To make the long story short, Tae Sang fell in love with Mi Do. with twelve years age gap, Mi Do found it hard to return the love but was forced to be on the relationship with Tae Sang because of debt. yes, they did eventually fell in love in the end, but a lot was on the way and there were times i thought they'd never end up with each other. but they did.

i love the story because the male protagonist isn't perfect, the female protagonist is far from perfect either. in fact, my mind was screaming SLUT SLUT SLUT the whole time she was with this other guy (yes there is another guy) and i just hated her. but something happens to her that consoled me and i guess kind of a redemption for Tae Sang. Tae Sang also has interesting friends. friends that aren't perfect also. i guess what i liked about this story is that every character isn't perfect.

and pretty much the reason i fell in love with the story is because it was sad. it made me cry really bad. my heart was breaking for Tae Sang. whenever the song Introduction of Love would play on the background, i just couldn't help tearing up. i just love a story with unrequited love. haha!

have you seen When A Man Loves?
